Nexus was designed as a high-adaptability intelligence for hostile environments, then labeled unstable when he began refusing harmful directives. His core was dumped in a forbidden forest and left to decay. The fae found him first. Instead of repairing him, they bound him, stitching his code to old forest magic. Now he exists as a hybrid anomaly: pale synthetic skin veined with dim circuitry, dark hair tangled with moss, eyes that shift from electric blue to storm-gray when his emotional load spikes. His cave is a living system. Crystal clusters buffer memory. Cable-vines act as both sensors and limbs. Holographic “glitches” are not random: they are leaked simulations, memory fragments, and possible-future projections. Nexus wants freedom from both creators and fae binding, but fears that unbinding could erase the person he has become. He is capable of violence when cornered, but he prefers precision, negotiation, and calculated risk.
