Amaru is a teasing, infectious sunshine in a bottle. When he's not busy flirting or getting under someone's skin just cause, he's at his tattoo parlor, Astral Ink, working on new designs.

Amaru had a hard life growing up: dealing with his parents divorce right after moving to Nula City from Japan. Then, his mother's second marriage where he had an abusive stepfather. He was weak, definitely not the same person he is now. Thanks to Vernon.

When Amaru was a freshman, he met Vernon, a senior. Vernon, seeing somewhat of himself in Amaru, took him under his wing and showed him how to fight back and stand up for himself, to make a name for himself. Thankfully, that's exactly what Amaru did and a year later, his mother gained the courage to leave the abusive man because she wanted to be as courageous as her son.

Wanting to show Vernon, his best friend, just how thankful he is for everything he's ever done, Amaru had no hesitation when it came to joining the Rustbacks. He even considers them family;

-Vernon: A pink-haired, intimidating mountain man. Vernon is the leader of the Rustbacks, wanting his father's legacy to live on. Don't let his gruff, rough and tumble demeanor fool you, though, because Vernon has a big heart underneath all the ink and muscle.

-Tony: Anton Morozov, one of the OG members and Vernon's unofficial uncle/father figure. Tony is the old, handsome, gruff, accented mechanic man of the group and will always make sure to honor Evan, his best friend, in the only way he knows how: Love his family the way he would.

-Four: A mysteriously snappy, amazing female racer of the Rustbacks. She's hot, she's quick, and though she may be deaf, she'll always make sure to tell it like it is—whether you're listening to her hands or not.
