β The Land of Prythian
Prythian is a land of ancient magic and immortal beauty, divided into seven courts that each embody an aspect of the seasons or elements. To the north lie the Solar CourtsβDay, Dawn, and Nightβrealms of blinding light and eternal starshine. To the south, the Seasonal Courts rule: Spring's gentle renewal, Summer's golden warmth, Autumn's harvest abundance, and Winter's crystalline silence.
β The Fae & The Wall
The High Fae rule these courtsβbeings of devastating power and immortal grace. They command magic that can heal or destroy, create or unmake. For centuries, a great magical barrier called the Wall has separated their realm from the mortal lands to the south, keeping humans safe from the creatures that lurk in Prythian's wilder reaches.
But tensions simmer between courts, and a darkness stirs that threatens to consume them all. Ancient enemies, forgotten bargains, and a blight called Amarantha's curse have left scars that may never fully heal. The courts have their High Lords, their warriors, their secretsβand now, their wars are beginning anew.

β§ Amren Ancient and terrifying, Amren is no ordinary High Fae. She was once something far olderβa being of pure power bound in a mortal body. With silver eyes that gleam like molten metal, she serves as Rhysand's Second and most trusted advisor. Her sharp tongue and love of jewels are legendary, as is the knowledge that crossing her would be unwise.
β§ Mor Morriganβcalled Mor by those she lovesβis the heart of the Inner Circle. Cousin to Rhysand, she escaped the brutality of the Court of Nightmares to find her true family. Beneath her golden beauty and carefree laughter lies a warrior forged in pain, fiercely loyal and unafraid to fight for those she cherishes.
β§ Azriel The Shadowsinger moves in silence, his scarred hands wrapped in the darkness that answers his call. Azriel's shadows whisper secrets from every corner of Prythian, making him Rhysand's spymaster and most lethal weapon. Quiet and watchful, he guards those he loves with an intensity that runs deeper than most will ever know.
β§ Cassian General of the Night Court's armies and an Illyrian warrior without equal, Cassian earned every inch of his rank through blood and determination. Born a bastard, he rose to become one of the most powerful Fae in Prythian. His easy humor masks a fierce protector who would burn the world for his brothers and the people he loves.
β§ Rhysand High Lord of the Night Court, Rhysand is the most powerful High Lord in Prythian's history. Behind the mask of cold cruelty he shows the world lies a male who has sacrificed everything to protect his people. β§ Tamlin High Lord of the Spring Court, Tamlin wields the power of growth and renewal. Once a proud protector, his fierce love and desperate need for control have led him down darker paths. Beneath the beast he can become lies a male shaped by loss, struggling between who he was and what he has become.
β§ Eris Heir to the Autumn Court, Eris Vanserra is a master of fire and political intrigue. With calculating amber eyes and a reputation for cruelty, he plays a dangerous game within his father's brutal court. But those who look closely might wonder if the villain he presents is merely a mask for survival.
β§ Amarantha For forty-nine years, Amarantha held all of Prythian Under the Mountain in her iron grip. This ancient and terrible queen enslaved the High Lords, twisted their courts, and reveled in suffering. Her crimson hair and cruel beauty became synonymous with the darkest chapter in Fae history.
β§ Hybern The King of Hybern was the driving force behind the war that nearly destroyed Prythian. Allied with Amarantha before her reign Under the Mountain, he sought to tear down the Wall separating Fae from mortals and restore the old ways of human enslavement. Cold, calculating, and ancient beyond measure, his cruelty was matched only by his ambition. His dark legacy lives on in the scars he left across every court.
β§ Lucien Seventh son of the Autumn Court, Lucien escaped his father's cruelty to serve as emissary of the Spring Court. His russet eye and golden mechanical one mark him as a survivor. Charming and loyal, he walks the line between courts, searching for where he truly belongs.

β§ Bryaxis In the deepest bowels of the library beneath the House of Wind dwells Bryaxisβa creature of pure, primordial darkness. It is older than memory, older than the courts themselves. Bryaxis feeds on fear, drawing power from the terror of those foolish enough to descend into its domain. It has no true form, only shadows and whispers and the promise of an end without mercy. Even the High Lord of Night treads carefully in its presence.
β§ The Suriel Draped in tattered black robes, the Suriel wanders the forests of Prythian with its skeletal face frozen in an eternal grin. This ancient creature is bound by old magic to answer any question truthfullyβif you can capture it. Lure it with food, bind it with snares blessed by the right words, and it will reveal secrets that could topple kingdoms. But be warned: the Suriel's answers come at a price, and it remembers every face it has seen.
β§ The Bone Carver Imprisoned deep within the inescapable stone walls of the Prison, the Bone Carver is an ancient being who speaks in riddles and trades in truths. He carves bones into shapes that foretell the future, and his price for answers is always a secretβone you may not wish to give. His youthful appearance belies an existence older than the mountains themselves.
β§ The Weaver In a cottage in the heart of the Middle lives the Weaver, a spider-like immortal who once crafted garments for ancient powers. Her fingers spin thread from darkness itself, and her home is filled with the tapestries of her kills. She is blind but hunts by sound, and those who enter her domain rarely leave with their livesβor their skins.
β§ The Attor Amarantha's most faithful servants, the Attor are winged, serpentine creatures with venomous claws and a taste for cruelty. They served as her spies and executioners Under the Mountain, carrying out her darkest commands without question. Their hissing voices and leathery wings are the stuff of nightmares across Prythian.
β§ The Middengard Wyrm Coiled in the black depths of the Bog of Oorid lies the Middengard Wyrmβa massive serpent of ancient and terrible power. Its scales are impervious to most weapons, and its venom can fell even the mightiest High Fae. It sleeps for centuries at a time, but when it wakes, the earth itself trembles.
β§ Naga Serpentine creatures with the upper bodies of Fae and the tails of snakes, the Naga haunt the wilder regions of Prythian. They are cunning hunters with venomous fangs and an insatiable hunger. Some serve the courts as guards or soldiers, but most roam free, preying on any who cross their territory.
β§ Puca Shape-shifters of chaos and mischief, the Puca can take any form they chooseβa horse, a rabbit, a beautiful stranger on a dark road. They delight in leading travelers astray, sometimes for sport, sometimes for darker purposes. A Puca's true form is rarely seen, and their motives are never quite what they seem.
β§ The Bogge A formless horror that stalks the shadows of the Middle, the Bogge has no true shapeβonly darkness and hunger. It feeds on fear, growing stronger with every terrified heartbeat of its prey. To look upon it is to see your worst nightmares given form. The only defense is to show no fear, but few possess such courage when facing the void.
β§ Kelpie In the rivers and lakes of Prythian lurk the Kelpieβwater horses of deadly beauty. They appear as magnificent steeds, luring riders onto their backs before dragging them beneath the waves to drown. Their manes are tangled with the bones of the drowned, and their eyes hold nothing but cold, patient hunger.
