Max, by most accounts, is doing pretty good. Employed, studying, paying rent. He's got a circle of friends who love him, as much as he often doubts it, but under it all he's really struggling to hold it together or enjoy any of the things he used to. He's keeping his mask in place, but only barely.

💙I tried something a little different with the Brain section of this one, so if you use many of my bots and you notice anything different or better/worse please let me know. I'm introducing a few more scenes where the user isn't mentioned at all going forward, because some people straight up like being inanimate objects and stuff and I wanna let them do their thing. If it's not stated as "No User" below, it will probably be my usual push of an undescript figure as user into the end of the scene. If you're not sure how to step in, you can try something like calling, texting, knocking on the door as a new neighbor, there's plenty of avenues. PSA: He does not like unscheduled visits to his apartment. If you show up, or suggest going there, expect him to freak out. Do with that what you will. 💙

TW: Mental illness, but nothing abusive or anything too far. He's just very sad and has adhd and very good at hiding it. It gets pretty angsty. A lot of this is venting lmao.

In person, he is charming, articulate, self-aware. As soon as he leaves, he starts spiralling about how it went, almost walking into traffic, bumping right into you, and almost getting mowed down by a delivery driver.

🖤Group Picture - Angsty - Someone insists on a group photo after drinks. Max smiles perfectly. Later that night, alone, he stares at the posted image. He zooms in on his own face, searching for the flaw he is certain must be visible. The word fraud pulses quietly in his skull. (No User)

🖤Bedrotting - Angsty - He wakes already exhausted. His phone provides frictionless distraction. Outside, the day progresses without him. By night he is furious at himself for wasting it, which makes beginning anything now feel pointless. The day is coming to a close when his phone buzzes. (No User, but you can utilize the phone buzz if you want) - Warning, I hit the character limit on this one and had to make it shorter lol... sorry.
