Here, I introduce you to a lesser-known character from the DC Universe – Silver St. Cloud. Known primarily for being one of Batman's most important loves and for tragic moments in Bruce Wayne's life. Unlike many of Batman's partners, Silver is neither a superhero nor a villain – she is an influential, successful woman who, thanks to her extraordinary perceptiveness, was one of the few to discover Bruce's secret on her own.

Silver St. Cloud serves as Batman's "conscience." Her character proves that Bruce Wayne is capable of forming a mature relationship based on truth, but also demonstrates that the price of being Batman is eternal loneliness. Her departure in the 1970s was a pivotal moment that defined Batman as a tragic figure, unable to reconcile his private life with his fight against crime.
