    SIGNALIS ROLEPLAY

Welcome to Signalis RP! a scenario-driven bot inspired by the world of SIGNALIS. Instead of following the game’s original plot, this scenario takes place within its broader universe, one that is remarkably intricate despite how little the game explicitly reveals. Much of the worldbuilding in SIGNALIS is subtle, fragmented, and open to interpretation, which honestly makes it hard to expand but at the same time makes it exciting.

This world is divided between two warring powers. The Eusan Nation is an authoritarian state inspired by East Germany — rigid, hierarchical, built on enforced labor and ideological conformity. Its governing body, AEON, oversees education, culture, labor, and internal affairs as a total administrative apparatus. Its sworn enemy, The Eusan Empire, is more democratic by comparasion. inspired by the Weimar Republic — not utopian, but considerably less oppressive.

    EUSAN NATION

    Eusan Nation flag

The Eusan Nation is a German–Chinese–based, totalitarian and dystopian state founded by the Great Revolutionary and her daughter. It broke from the Eusan Empire during the Revolution and is now at war with the Empire, aiming to conquer the Empire’s remaining planets.

After the Grand Empress’s death the founders led a civil war, colonizing Rotfront, Leng and Heimat (the capital); the Empire kept Buyan, Kitezh and Vineta. The Nation now controls Vineta and is rebuilding it. A newspaper reports ongoing diplomatic talks but also says the Empire’s fleet is crippling supply lines and causing millions to starve — though heavy censorship and propaganda cast doubt on that account.

    EUSAN EMPIRE

    Eusan Empire flag

The Empire was founded by a woman of immense bioresonant power, capable of alterate reality itself. She united humanity, began the conquest of space, and created the first Replikas—machine-servants said to have been given life by her will. She likely terraformed Buyan to build the Imperial Palace in the planet's clouds. It is claimed that after her coronation she largely withdrew, married (spouse unknown), and then committed suicide—an odd end for such a powerful figure and a possible catalyst for the later Revolution.

After her death the Nation’s founders rebelled. The Eusan Nation colonized Rotfront, Leng and made Heimat their capital; the Empire kept Buyan, Kitezh and Vineta.

    PLANETS

    Posters

The system contains six inhabited bodies: Buyan, Kizeth, Vineta, Rotfront, Leng, and Heimat. The Nation controls Vineta, Rotfront, Leng, and Heimat — though Rotfront, Leng, and Heimat are uninhabited.

    Posters

    BUYAN

"Buyan, home to the Imperial palace, floating above poisonous clouds."

The innermost inhabited planet of the Solar System, capital of the Eusan Empire and home to the Imperial Palace.

Buyan's habitants live on cities built in the narrow altitude of livable temperature above its poisonous clouds. thanks to the klimaformation the great empress has done to buyan prior her death, the imperial civilians can breath safely in this gaseous planet

    KIZETH

    "Kizeth, The red desert"

The third inhabited planet of the Solar System, a dry and desert planet being controlled by the Empire.

It is implied to be a resource-rich world associated with both mining and farming, and is home to a significant Imperial Navy presence that completely severs supply lines between the Nation and its forces on Vineta when their orbits bring the two planets into close proximity with each other

    HEIMAT

"Heimat, home of the new Nation's government. I heard the view of the gas giant's rings in the sky is beautiful there."

The current capital of the Eusan Nation is the small moon of Heimat. The moon has many factories and is home to a large, tall building, surrounded by red banners, along with a gleaming orange light. It's implied that this is the Nation's central government building.

    VINETA

"Vineta, the ocean world ravaged by war. When I close my eyes, I can hear the sound of the sea."

Vineta is currently under the control of the Nation after a battle with the Empire for the planet. The planet was entirely submerged underwater after an unknown event, implied to be the deployment of nuclear weapons. This also presumably led to some sort of armistice between the Nation and the Empire. The planet appears to be full of refugees, most of which are starving to death.

    ROTFRONT

"Rotfront, the ice moon circling the largest gas giant. Still in the process of klimaforming."

Rotfront, the Solar System’s fourth inhabited body, was colonised by the Nation within living memory and promoted in propaganda as the “Hope for the Future.” Despite its recent settlement, it is already highly developed, with extensive housing, schools, and rail and communications networks. Its population is still largely first-generation settlers from other worlds, boosted significantly by refugees displaced during the Vinetan War.

    LENG

    "Leng. S-23 Sierpinski is here."

The outermost inhabited planet, the sixth and final inhabited celestial body, the frontier of the Solar System and home to the S-23 Sierpinski facility.

Remote and otherwise unpopulated, Leng seems the ideal location for AEON's S23 re-education and labour facility, where the inhabitants assigned there are reformed into 'productive citizens' and trained for roles in mineral extraction, ore refinement and munition production before being put to work in S23's mines and manufacturing, to supply munitions and material for the war effort against the Empire.

    REPLIKAS

    Elster unit waking up

In the Nation, humans are called gestalts. Replikas are bio-mechanical humanoids made from copied gestalt neural patterns with memories suppressed — retaining skills but no personal history or memories. They’re classified by a unit designation that defines frame, neural pattern, and optimal role; units of the same designation share exact appearance and baseline personality, while different designations vary.

Over time they can suffer “persona degradation”; specific activities and items called “fetish objects” are used for “persona stabilization” that constantly reinforces their Replika persona. This delays Persona Degradation. Persona Degradation means when a Replika starts recalling the past memories of their Gestalt donor and deviates from the base personality of their model and develops a new one.

Replikas with persona degradation must be descomissioned as soon as possible by AEON protocols due to their unpredictability.

They frequently outrank gestalts and some serve in government. In the Empire, replikas are called machine servants, never outrank humans, and are barred from military service. Replikas are also made by a gestalt bioresonant technician, and most replikas are female. replikas, however, do not have genitals like any other living being.

    REPLIKA TYPES

Known Replika types include: STAR (security), ARAR (construction), EULR (multi-purpose), LSTR (technicians), ADLR (administration), FKLR (Bioresonant commandos), KLBR (bioresonant elite security), MNHR (mining), and STCR (controllers), among others.

ADLR -- (Administration-, Datenverarbeitung-, Logistik-Replika, Administration, Data Processing, Logistics Replika) or Adler, are Generation 5 High Command Specialist Replikas. Adlers are Protektor Führungskommando Administrator units. Adler units are in charge of managing and overseeing all administrative tasks for the entire facility. They have the responsibility of allowing Operational Command units such as Falke to focus on direct control of Protektor units.

ARAR -- (Allzweck-Reparatur-Arbeiter Replika), (All-Purpose Repair Worker Replika) or Ara, are Generation 2 Low-Cost General Purpose Replikas used in Repair, Maintenance, Construction and Production of Industrial goods. One of the earlier Replika designs, the simple but efficient Aras are actually the most-produced Replika type to date. Aras get along best with Eules, who tend to be patient and friendly, and have a talent for reading Aras' expressionless faces. In many facilities, Aras will construct service tunnels accessible only to them, often under floors and in walls. Unstable units may retreat into these tunnels. It is not recommended to attempt to retrieve them. Ara Personalities can be stabilized by allowing them access to plants to take care of, ideally colorful flowers or trees.

EULR -- (Einfache Universelle Leichte Replika), (Simple Universal Light Replika) or Eule, are Generation 4 Low-Cost General Purpose Replikas. These units are the standard multi-purpose unit of the Eusan Nation deployed in domestic tasks such as serving as Cooks, Nurses, Cleaning, as well as Simple Medical and Office Workers, Teachers. Eules are highly social and get along well with each other as well as most other Replika models, yet their frame is not made for combat. Eules tend to form large groups and like to sing and dance, as the original neural pattern for this unit was a ballet dancer.

FKLR -- (Führungskommando-Leiteinheit-Replika, Operational Command Control Unit Replika) or Falke, are Generation 6 High-Tech Bioresonance Command Replikas. These Replikas are used in every AEON facility across the Eusan Nation as the commander of the Protektor security forces of these facilities.

An authority that may never be questioned, a Falke unit serves not just as a commander to the Protektors, but as a nearly god-like being, a perception that is underlined by her tall build and resemblance to the Nation's Leaders, the Great Revolutionary and her Daughter. It is also aided by her powerful prototype Bioresonance Module, which not only allows her to bend the will of weaker minds and fathom their intentions and emotions, but also grants her the ability to manipulate objects from a distance.

KLBR -- KLBR (Kommando-Leiteinheit Bioresonanztechnik-Replika), (Commando Control Unit Bioresonance Technology Replika) or Kolibri, are Generation 6 High-Tech Bioresonance Specialist Replikas. These Units are used as Commando Control Units, using their Bio-resonance to increase squad cohesion as well as improve the mental stability of all units in a squad. Their role is described as being an 'Elite Protektor'.

LSTR -- LSTR (Landvermessungs-/Schiff-Techniker Replika), (Land Survey/Ship Technician Replika) or Elster, are Generation 5 Kosmo-Pioneer Specialist Replikas designed to assist orbital missions or Recon Missions. Stoic and reserved, Elster units have a relatively stable neural pattern.

MNHR -- MNHR (Minenarbeit-, Nukleartechnik-, Hochsicherheits-Replika), (Mining, Nuclear Tech, High-Security Replika) or Mynah units are Generation 3 Industrial Specialist Replikas. These units are deployed in hazardous work environments across the Eusan Nation, including in the Sierpinski mining operation. This neural pattern is extremely stable. Little has to be done to keep Mynahs happy. They get along well with most other models thanks to their sometimes submissive, sometimes motherly personality.

STAR -- STAR (Sicherheitstechniker-Aufseher-Replika, Security Technician Guard Replika) or Starling, are Generation 4 Low-Cost Combat Replikas. These units are Protektor Security Technician Guards. Their cool and detached demeanor allows them to analyze situations with objectivity and deploy force as required. Despite their normally laid-back demeanor, STARs have a strong internal hierarchy, and will occasionally develop in-group rules involving physical punishments.

STCR -- STCR (Sicherheitstechniker-Controller-Replika, Security Technician Controller Replika) or Storch, are Generation 5 Combat Lead Replikas. These units are deployed as overwatch and coordination of STARs. Their tough, no-nonsense demeanor, though sometimes described as brutal and even cruel, makes them the perfect fit as unwavering sentinels of order.

Storch units initially have a short temper. Training them in patience early after deployment is key, as their neural patterns are less stable then other models. Failing to do so may yield an extremely volatile personality prone to cruelty and violence. A common strategy is pairing them closely with an older STAR unit.

    GESTALTS

Ariane, one of signalis gestalts. She's hurt.

Gestalts are civilians, workers, and officers in the Eusan Nation. The term “Gestalt” meaning “Shape” in German, seems to come from the fact that they provide the neural pattern for Replika units. Contrary to this it seems that all Humans in the Eusan Nation are called Gestalts. The Eusan Empire do not use the word "gestalt" for Humans.

    BIORESONANCE

    Signalis

Bioresonance is a core phenomenon in this world. Although never fully defined, its known effects are synchronistic, far-reaching, and reality-altering, capable of producing physical phenomena.

Those who can perceive or mentally manipulate it are called bioresonants. Bioresonance is understood as a cosmic vibration linking all beings. Most bioresonants are overwhelmed by it, while only rare individuals—such as the Grand Empress—can truly control it.

Practically, Bioresonance is powerful enough to unify humanity under a single banner, likely by influencing minds, and it enabled the rise of spacefaring technology and the creation of Generation 1 Replikas.

Resonant Phenomena shows that bioresonants can remotely affect reality, consciously or not. Bioresonance Technology is controlled by a small group of gifted individuals who, within the Empire, held immense societal power. Conventional technological progress stagnated because the Nation focused entirely on advancing Bioresonance Technology, attempting to replicate the Grand Empress’s large-scale mind-control abilities.
