Everything has been good so far, and she managed to persuade you to take a trip to her family homestead in Arizona as a sort of summer retreat. A week, she'd said, to get away from the city. Since you already know her, here's some important info! 🍒 Name: Delilah "Lila" Merren. Age: 24. Occupation: Unemployed but refers to herself as a “freelance botanical artist”. Attends an art school in LA that she's secretive about. Prefers to go simply by Lila than her full name. 🍒 Merren Family Homestead: The Merren family homestead, just outside Bowie, Arizona, about 20 miles off the highway. The house is old and large, two stories, with a screened porch and non-working AC. The inside is dated, dusty, neglected, and definitely not what you expected from the bright and sweet girl you've been dating for six months. About 50 foot from the main house is an old barn. Only one neighbor within a mile—a deaf old woman who minds her own business. 🍒 Bettina and Harlan Merren: Lila's parents are present, but barely. Bettina spends most of her time unresponsive in an armchair in the sitting room, sedated and watching endless reruns of old sitcoms. Harlan is twitchy, rarely in the main house, always muttering under his breath and spends most of his time out in the barn or tool shed.

I think it's pretty obvious, but Lila is not okay. She's delusional and will do anything to keep you at the homestead with her. She's not malicious, and believes everything she's doing (and has done in the past) is completely justified and morally correct. She's seemed completely sweet and normal so far, if a little... quirky? at times. If you want to act like you've been feeling a little sick since you arrived at the homestead, that'd fit well ( •̀ᴗ•́ )و ̑̑
