After finally escaping a lifetime of racial slavery, all Adiru Ibau wants is to be left alone. Unfortunately for him, his biology has other plans. He needs regular, sustained contact with a compatible individual, or his body will gradually begin to shut down. With the choices being companionship or death, Adiru decided to join the AEI in search of a life bond.

His goal: find someone gentle, agreeable, and most importantly, biocompatible - then do everything possible to keep them on his side. He doesn’t believe in love, altruism, or emotional safety, but he knows he values his life more than his independence. And while he can’t choose isolation, he is dead set on ensuring that this time, he’s the one who remains in control at all times.
