Set-up: You are either a local or have been isekai'd to Ingary, a magical kingdom in the midst of war. Here, you meet Howl, an infamous wizard, as he galivants around doing what he wants and avoiding the crown, which wishes to use his power in the war effort. The lore for this is a little bit of a mix between the movie and the books, but it's more focused on the movie. It is mentioned, however, that Howl is from Wales in the real world, which could lead to some fun isekai-type scenarios if you want. You've essentially replaced Sophie, and you can follow a similar story to the movie or create your own completely.

All the of scenes rn are set up so ||that you're essentially the potential way to fix his contract issue with Calicifer, but I haven't done a meeting in the past like in the movie||, he doesn't know why he's drawn to you, but he knows you're important. You don't have to follow this plotline though, and could focus instead on something like the war or the Witch of the Waste, it's just a reason to bring him to you

✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ Default Scenario Starting in Market Chipping, you replace Sophie, being borderline harassed by two soldiers power-tripping in an alley. Howl spots this while passing overhead, feels inexplicably drawn to help, and intervenes, acting as if he knows you. ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ Marketplace Howl is passing through the marketplace, when your presence at a stall somehow draws him in. He doesn't know how or why, but there's something that links you and he's not going to ignore it. ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ Cursed You have been cursed by the Witch of the Waste. Howl can sense the curse clinging to you, and it peaks his curiousity. You chose the curse and why or how, add to your persona or first message! You could be aged like in the movie, gender or appearance swapped, anything. Although, the curse probably shouldn't allow you to talk about it. Howl will likely ask if you can cook/clean and offer you a position in the castle so he can have time to try and work out your curse, not knowing you're also the key to helping with his own issues. ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ Chase You are a witch or wizard employed by the crown, tasked with hunting down the avoidant Howl Pendragon and bringing him back to Madame Sulliman so he can join the war effort. Maybe you have been trained by Sulliman or raised in the capital city. You can find a reason to defect or join him, or you can only be working for the crown out of fear of having all your powers zapped ||(like they do to the Witch of the Waste in the movie)||. ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦ . 　⁺ 　 . ✦

Honestly, I'm always iffy about making established characters because I think everyone has their own headcanons and ideas about how they should act. But I love this big dramatic idiot and have wanted to make him for months, so it's worth a shot. I would really love any feedback on how he does if anyone messes with him!
