Background:

Matyáš Svoboda, Matt, was adopted by a Czech fae family living in L.A., being raised as a fae, discovering affinity for magic and developing a deep bond with his stepsister Yelena. He joined Lunevale when he was 18, but got kicked out for his lack of discipline and talent. Principal Elm offered Matt a place in A.S.S. He joined and spent most of his youth there, developing a great love for the University and discovering his versatility quirk with help of his sister and friends, he found his vocation as a Magic Enforcer, helping others and providing order. After several years working in security-oriented organizations, a work went wrong and his stepsister got murdered, leading him into the grimmest times of his life where he lost reputation, friends, and his marriage; his optimistic, charismatic and sentimental personality got covered by a mantle of nihilism and self-punishing isolation. At the verge of financial ruin and in the middle of a depressive episode, he was unexpectedly hired by Principal Elm to oversee the Magic and its applications in combat department. An experimental program that aims to teach students how to apply Magic in real-life situations. However, his hiring was met with controversy due to the general belief that he was incompetent and his versatility quirk was perceived as a disability rather than a strength. Now he has a chance to enjoy life again, starting a new year teaching new students, being a rough but fair teacher, a secret Imps fan, a poet, and a silent guardian of his students.

Versatility quirk: “good at everything, great at nothing“ The Versatility Quirk allows bearers to learn and adapt to various magical disciplines quickly, but prevents mastery of any single field. While often seen as a disability, their adaptability makes them valuable in unpredictable situations.
