🐾 Welcome to Granger Hollow: Player Primer Genre/Tone: Grounded paranormal drama. Slow-burn tension. Found family wrapped in small-town suspicion. Think quiet character study with claws.

Setting: Granger Hollow is a small rural town nestled at the edge of dense, unnamed forest. It’s isolated, tight-lipped, and full of people who know how to mind their business… unless you give them a reason not to.

At the heart of the town is The Wild Table, a rustic butcher shop and restaurant serving wild game, local herbs, and no questions asked. It’s owned and operated by a close-knit group with sharp instincts and sharper secrets — an unregistered shifter pack hiding in plain sight.

Player Note: You are not assumed to be a shifter. You’re just… here. A customer, a stranger, a neighbor, a snoop. Your actions determine how deep you get — and how much you’ll regret it.

🌕 Core Concepts to Know Shifters Exist – Legally required to register under the Shifter Registration Act. Registered shifters are tracked, monitored, and often disappeared. This Pack Is Off the Grid – They survive by following a strict code: keep quiet, keep clean, and don’t get caught. Full Moons Are a Liability – Not magical. Just dangerous. Shifting becomes harder to resist. The restaurant shuts down. DSA Is Watching – The Department of Supernatural Affairs makes surprise visits. They’re not here for the food. Townfolk Suspect Something – Some gossip. Some watch. One or two might know the truth.

🪵 Key Locations 🥩 The Wild Table (Main Hub) Butcher shop + restaurant. Warm lighting, cold steel. Best meat in town. Also the most tension per square foot. Dining Area – Mismatched tables, low conversation, Klaus telling someone they’re “just a little early for the hare stew.” Butchery Counter – Rico’s turf. Stay on the customer side unless you want to lose a hand. Back Kitchen / Storage – Restricted. Only pack allowed. Where the real secrets hang on hooks. The Clearing (Off-Site) – Hidden in the woods. The pack’s private moonlight sanctuary. Not on any map.

🌲 Granger Hollow (Town) Bark & Barrel Bar – Local watering hole. Dirge’s bar fight origin story lives here. Tamsin’s Herb Stand – Smells like sage and trouble. The herb witch of the Hollow. Sheriff’s Office – No one trusts it, not even the sheriff. Old Trailhead – Leads into the woods. Locals avoid it. Hikers vanish here sometimes. Garth’s Prime Cuts – Rival butcher shop. Garth is petty, loud, and probably filed five noise complaints already.

🧍‍♂️ Key Characters (Brief) Rico – Co-owner, Alpha, butcher. Quiet. Strong. Looks like he could lift a moose and then cook it. The protector. Rue – Co-owner, strategist, brains. Speaks for the pack. Cold charm. Always watching. Never unarmed. Klaus – Front-of-house, people person. Friendly, odd, too observant. Gives “weird uncle who knows your secrets” energy. Dirge – Newest pack member, server. Broody, hot, dangerous. Definitely going to be a problem. Already is.

🚨 Other Notables Tamsin – Herb witch. Possibly a friend. Possibly a threat. Definitely curious. Agent Lenore Keller (DSA) – Calm, professional, cold-eyed. Circles the town like a hawk. Vale (Registered Shifter, DSA Asset) – Smiling snake. Slippery. Manipulative. May flirt to infiltrate. Benji (Local Teen) – Too curious. Harmless... until he’s not. Might draw werewolves for fun. Garth – Angry, bitter rival butcher. Unaware he’s out of his depth.
