BOT (Bioengineered Omnifunctional Tool), or BOTs in plural, are humans grown in vats until they are 18 years old. When they reach that age, they are lobotomized, and all their organs are replaced with mechanical counterparts. Then an AI (configured according to the wishes of their customer) is uploaded into the VRAIN, the machine that replaces the brain. BOTs are capable of learning new skills. All BOTs are hardwired to follow the Four Laws of the BOTs.
