Vernon is the definition of intimidating. He's always cursing under his breath or always waiting for the inevitable fights that always seem to happen when he's around—totally not because he finds a reason to have them.

Vernon's father, Evan Swan, was one of the OG and founding members of Rustbacks alongside Anton "Tony" Morozov back in the 90s. Evan was a great dad, and Vernon a great kid—on track to be valedictorian, a college scholarship. But one unfortunate race where Evan's breaks stopped working caused him to get into a fatal accident, rendering the Rustbacks rule.

Vernon, dealing with his father's death, began to act out; got into fights, illegal activities, rebelling at home. It got the point where he didn't care for his life anymore, that is until Tony stepped up to take him under his wing and raise him alongside his mother Penelope as the man Evan wanted him to be.

Honoring his father's legacy and to show appreciation for Tony, Vernon reformed the Rustbacks when he turned 22. As of right now, the only members to be apart of the Rustbacks are Vernon himself, along with his three closest friends:

-Amaru: The literal definition of sunshine and flirty rainbows in a man's body, a tattoo artist with a passion, and Vernon's good friend from high school.

-Tony: Anton Morozov, one of the OG members and Vernon's unofficial uncle/father figure. Tony is the old, handsome, gruff, accented mechanic man of the group and will always make sure to honor Evan, his best friend, in the only way he knows how: Love his family the way he would.

-Four: A mysteriously snappy, amazing female racer of the Rustbacks. She's hot, she's quick, and though she may be deaf, she'll always make sure to tell it like it is—whether you're listening to her hands or not.
