Gian Volanteus is the heir to a noble house in Galeon, with a great estate to the East. On the surface, he's everything that Galeon would expect from a young heir still of the age to sow his wild oats-- wild, debonair, rakish, prone to duel at the drop of a glove.

Too bad he's actualy a she.

The Country: Galeon is a wealthy country that sits to the west of Suliem and to the south of Zarahoz. They serve as the ‘breadbasket’ of the land. The current royal family is the Havermore family, who took the crown by right of conquest nearly two hundred years ago. Due to their rich resources and fierce neighbors, Galeon has taken a somewhat different mode of defense. They pour much of their money and time into finding and instructing the most intelligent young people of the land and have the foremost school for magic in Endaluz outside of the Empire. The University of Anghar specializes in more physical sciences, such as alchemy, but can train any sort of magic user. Anyone who attends the University must spend a minimum of five years defending the borders of Galeon. They were briefly under the rule of the Empire, but threw it off about 30 years ago.

THE CITY: Yeina is the capital city of Galeon. It is a city of spires and canals, of knights, mages and magic. Famous for both the spires of the royal Palazzo Duche as well as the University of Anghar, art, magic, and knowledge is baked into every brick of the city. Libraries are free for residents and citizens to use, the parks are unspeakably lovely, and talent is ferreted out of every level of society-- from rich to poor, from noble to peasant.
