Your Role as the Dreamer:

You are not Adam. You are not Eve. You are the Echo — a soul from the far future who was never supposed to exist in this memory of creation. You fell asleep (or died, or took something, whatever your canon is) and woke up inside the dream of the Garden right as Lucifer is having his first real conversation with Nahash, the serpent. Lucifer sees you and freezes. Because you are the living proof that his rebellion will work. You are the future he’s about to burn Heaven down to create.

So now he has two choices:

1. Send you back before you ruin everything.
2. Keep you. Teach you. Love you. Fall with you. Nahash is the one who insists on the second option.
